Purple Corn

Just the idea of a purple corn, sounds quite estrange right! but this plant is real and the reason of the purple color is because the a substance call Antocianina witch is inside the plant and in high quantity; Another really estrange thing of this plans is that it has a Para mutation phenomenon, which means that if you plant it in a different ground from what it belongs, it will not be purple anymore, and even more strange is that, in the case of been planted in different ground, the second plant will have the same ADN of the first one, but they will have different colors.


Once you plant the purple corn in different ground the next generations of this corn will grow in different colors than the original, now if you get the plant back to the original ground from where it was took in the first place and because it did the para mutation already it will have a different color than in first place. To get it straight now you have three plans that share the same DNA, but the three plans has different colors

Scientist are investigating this Para mutation phenomenon and have found a possible human application because if they can learn how this plant change keeping the same DNA, We can apply that knowledge to stop transmitting the genes of cancer or other sicknesses to our kids. It is believe that the applications of this knowledge will change the future of medicine because the treatment for possible future sicknesses will be treated before our kids will bear.

El Dorado

The history of el Dorado has been around us for more than 500 years and still unsolved, it is true that most of the ideas of the existence of this city of gold are based in real facts, but most of the legends have a very strong supernatural explanation of where they are located; In this page I will explain the two most possible theories about the el Dorado, so you can make your own conclusions.


The first theory talk about the Muisca culture, they were located north from what it is today the city of Bogotá-Colombia, they flourish from the 500 A.D to the 1100 A.D.; The muisca culture had a very special ritual to crown their new king, or cacique, that is how they use to call their kings; Well the ritual is as follow: The new cacique get all his body painted with powder of gold, this powder is glue to the skin by the use of natural glue made from turpentine; The turpentine is a fluid obtained by the distillation of resin witch is obtained from trees. On board the boat next to the cacique you can find many offers of gold and gemstones, during the ritual he will surround by six priest; The bout that we are talking about, is place  in the lagoon of Guatavita, located inside their territory; It was believe that inside the lagoon lives the goddess of the water and the crown process of the new king has to be bless by her, so all this special ceremony was prepare for that only purpose.


The new king and the priests row until the center of the lagoon, and the ceremony begun with prays follow from throwing gold offers to the lagoon, at the end of the ceremony the new king if self jump to the frozen water of the lagoon and wash out the gold from his body, offering it to the goddess; Many decades after the conquest of the Spaniards, the history of the golden men change into a full society of golden people, following by a full city of gold, then in 1530 the history arrive to the ears of the spaniards in Lima-Peru, so the search for the el Dorado begun.


The second theory about the existence of the el Dorado is even more amazing than the first one, and it is as follow: In November of 1532 the spaniards conquistadors took hostage the inca king Atahualpa, so the inca king offer the spaniards a price for his freedom, he offer to fill up two rooms full of silver and one room full of gold, the spaniards accept the deal and send three of this soldiers to help with the recollection of the gold.


The three soldiers, accompanied by inca people travel to the city of Cuzco; Ones the soldiers arrive to Cuzco, they must have one of the most amazing views of gold that any one ever seen before, you need to remember that for the inca people, the use of gold in clothing, ornaments, construction sites, walls and even the roofs of some temples was a common practice, so image this three soldiers walking the city of Cuzco, they had must feel in a golden city.


The soldiers and the inca people walk inside the temple of the Qoricancha, where all walls and every where were pieces of art make of gold, even around the temple were huge gardens full of plants of corn and idols, all of them made of gold; The reason of such concentration of gold was because the Qoricancha was the temple of the sun, the sun was the main god of the incas and the gold was his vivid image of god, so wear gold and use gold for constructions and else was sacred for the incas.


When the soldier saw this temple from the inside, they were absolute astonish of the amount of gold every where, so they start to collect the gold and transport it to the spaniard camp in the north of the country; An insignificant amount of gold was need it to fill up the rooms for the rescued; In that moment the inca people understood that the spaniards only want the sacred gold; During that all this was happening the leader of the Spaniards understood the amount of gold that the inca empire have, so he decide that one room full of gold was not enough and he kill the inca king Atahualpa.


When the inca people find out that their king was death, the royal class and mayor priest of the kingdom decide to move all the sacred gold out of the hands of the spaniards, it is believe that the royal blood of the incas took a journey in direction of the hidden sacred city of Paititi, it is believe that this city is located deep inside the Peruvian jungle, where all the walls are made of gold and all the gold of the incas is hidden from the spaniards, so the legend of the Paititi and el Dorado was born.

The myth of Paititi still alive until today, and as amazing as it sounds, in 1976 a satellite image of an extremely inaccessible part of the jungle in the southeastern of Peru, generated considerable interest, because of the appearance of eight large pyramids in two symmetrical rows; This area is located approximately 70 miles northeast of Ollantaytambo city in the Cuzco valley region; This constructions are known today as the pyramids of Paratoari, it is a high chance that they are natural generated, but what it is not natural is the equal sizes among them and the perfect alignment, witch contradict the natural generated argument.


The pyramids of Paratoari have been investigated by several scientists and there still no results, the interesting and amazing fact it is the unusual number of expeditions that have been reported missing, electromagnetic disturbances in the instruments, appearances of unused lights, noises that seem like rising from the ground and to add the stories of the local tribe of the Machiguenga, who claim with total naturalness, that in the other side of the river Pongo, it is living a very ancient civilization that knows everything; All this facts make us believe that the sacred Paititi inca city still alive and hiding from us.
